ABOUT US
We are passionate about helping Scotland become healthier and want to contribute to this by supplying high quality seafood which helps customers meet the NHS suggested dietary requirement of eating a minimum of two portions of fish a week.
We appreciate that some may not know where to start when cooking fish, so part of our mission is to provide easy options to make a fish dish an easy option for you and your family! We provide meal suggestions and recipes on our fishy ideas page.

OUR STORY
John & Hazel took over the Grangemouth Fish Mongers, businesses which had been in the Smith family since 1952. With none of the Smith family looking to take over the shop John and Hazel stepped in. With years of experience running their own business they have put the lessons they have learnt into practice.
Just over a year into their fish monger journey they opened a second shop in Falkirk which has since relocate to Grahams Road. Two months later they opened a shop in Hopetoun St in Bathgate. Soon after one in Dunfermline, Stirling, and Kinross. As well as opening new locations The Fresh Fish Place have launched a click and collect service with a local delivery option available – view our range here.

OUR ETHOS
John and Hazel are particularly conscious of sustainability within the fishing industry and only work with MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) accredited suppliers. MSC monitor traceability within the seafood supply chain to ensure fish and seafood are caught legally and ethically. You can find out more about their work by clicking here. The Fresh Fish Place consider their carbon footprint and actively look to minimise the impact their business has on the planet.
OUR PRODUCTS
Our scallop supplier allows us to provide hand dived scallops from Barra, the Isle of Lewis and other Hebridean Islands straight to our customers. Our mussels come from Shetland, our Crab and Lobsters come from all around the Scottish coast. Our free range eggs come from Eggilicious, a family run business based in Stirling. Our Orodeal olive oil comes from the western mountains of Grenada, Spain. They produce a limited amount of high-quality olive oil which is prefect for our Spanish garlic and chilli prawn recipe.
We stock the exceptional Potts sauces range which are developed by Owen Potts who has 20 years’ experience in developing and manufacturing products within the fine foods industry.
